what is the memory capacity for the SD card for canon ixus 40?
currently i want to upgrade the sd memory card of my canon ixus 40.. and i was wondering what would be the maximum memory it can handle since most memory cards now are getting more bigger like 2gb and 4gb.. so what would be the best sd card it can handle..
The IXUS 40 (SD300) was released over 4 years ago, which means it cannot use SDHC (high capacity SD) cards.
So, your limit is 2GB, which will allow you to shoot around 380 high quality images (large/superfine).
Memory cards are getting ‘more bigger’ (higher capacity) because newer cameras’ image files are getting larger. Your camera’s files sizes are only around 2mb each, which isn’t big compared to newer cameras, which now have file sizes averaging around 4-5mb each.
2GB should be plenty of capacity…
